Independent Reading • Selecting books of different genres at their reading level • Rule of 10,000 hours • Practice makes perfect • PRQs – Persevering in Reading Questions • Answering 4 critical thinking questions on elements of fiction during a 2 week period • Providing sufficient and relevant evidence • 5 books a trimester
