Plot Summary • The Achaeans sail from the island of the Cyclopes to the Aeolian island. • The god of wind, Aeolus, made a bag full of the bad wind of the sea. • Aeolus gives the bag to Odysseus, so he does not have to sail through the bad wind and can safely make it back to Ithaca. • Odysseus’ fellow sailors are tempted to open the bag because they believe it is full of silver and gold. • They open it, and the wind bursts into the air, causing them to drift way off course.
Ancient Greece Adventure • The ancient Greek morals can sum up a whole event. • Odysseus showed honesty to Aeolus when he told him he will not open the bag. • Aeolus put his trust into Odysseus and gave him the bag as a gift. • This can show temptation when the sailors persuaded themselves to open the bag of wind. • The consequence happened when they drifted way off course.
Modern Society • The modern society has morals, symbols, and signs of compassion in each story. • Today’s society also shows temptation and regret. • These lessons can show us how to make our decisions. • Peer pressure can influence and trouble any person today. • These effects are all parts of today’s modern society.
Event ( The War of Iraq) • When September 11 happened, many knew that it was war. • However, most people did not want to go to war with Iraq, especially at this time. • President Bush announced war, and the United States sough out to get even. • Many people began to lose their family members in the war on both sides. • The war is still in occurrence.
