  5. North America is a continent wholly within the Northern Hemisphere and almost wholly  within the Western Hemisphere. It can also be considered a northern subcontinent of the Americas.

  6. ISTHUMUS The small piece of land joining two continents is called an Isthmus. Isthmus of panama joins north and south America

  7. PHYSICAL DIVISION North America can be divided into 4 major physical division 1. The Canadian shield 2. The Eastern highlands 3. The Central lowlands 4. The western cordilleras

  8. NIAGARA WATERFALL The Niagara Waterfall is situated on the river Niagara that lies between the united states of America and Canada. It is the most famous waterfall in the world

  9. THE PRAIRIE GRASSLAND This region extends from the south of Taigr, the region between the Great Lakes and the Rockies, to the Missouri-Mississippi basin. Short grass is the vegetation seen in this region

  10. TROPICAL RAIN FOREST • This forest is found in Central America and the West Indies. This region is characterized by heavy rainfall and high temperature

  11. AGRICULTURE • Only 10% of the total area of north America is suitable for agriculture. The Central plains is the main agriculture area of the continents

  12. DIARY FARMING • One of the main occupations of the North American people is diary farming. The vast grasslands here is conductive to rearing cattle
