HLT power (CR2). Due to RCU upgrade HLT expects to double computing power 150kW -> 300kW Cannot be all UPS (will compete with DAQ) Proposal HLT: All Y-racks on UPS (17) All X,Z-racks on EXD (18) 5 Z rack as reserve Estimate per rack: ~9kW (mono) ~ 15A per phase -> 30A per ‘depart’

HLT power (CR2) 34th ALICE DCS Workshop • Due to RCU upgrade HLT expects to double computing power • 150kW -> 300kW • Cannot be all UPS (will compete with DAQ) • Proposal HLT: • All Y-racks on UPS (17) • All X,Z-racks on EXD (18) • 5 Z rack as reserve • Estimate per rack: ~9kW (mono) • ~ 15A per phase -> 30A per ‘depart’ • close to limit (32A), needs ‘perfect’ balance over phases • To be discussed with EL

  3. HLT power (CR2) 34th ALICE DCS Workshop • New cables from new switchboard to new splitter box installed • Splitter boxes not yet installed (but prepared) • Old cabling (EXD, Hazemeyer) still in place

  4. Turbines UX racks 34th ALICE DCS Workshop • Many failures • Fan gets loose from motor • Will need to order 100 pairs • Perform exchange close to racks (limit transport) • Will do a ‘test exchange’ with Fred to estimate time and place needed
