Figurative Language Project (2 parts, 2 grades!) • Fill out the figurative language chart • You must find one example of each from the story. • In the third column, describe how the author’s choice of words made you feel or what it made you think about. • In the last column, describe why you think the author chose those words to describe the situation. How does it help explain or develop the message, theme, or moral? • Illustration • Choose one example of figurative language you found and illustrate it. • Neatly write the title of the story, author’s name, quotation, and page number of the quotation on the front of the illustration • Everything that is mentioned in the quotation must be included in your illustration. • You must include color. • Illustrations should be on a normal piece of paper (like this) • Be creative, do not worry so much about perfect drawings (you all know my stick figures!)
