When did the Jazz Age start, and how long did it last? Jazz was invented around 1895. However, the twenties was the decade known as the Jazz Age. Which is why it has other nicknames such as the Golden Twenties or the Roaring Twenties. It ended in the 30's when The Great Depression started.
What did people do during the jazz age? 100 million people a week went to the movies. People would throw very elaborate parties that would usually last for nights. ‘Crazies’ were things that people thought you had to be crazy to even consider doing. They were things people would do for fun, such as sitting on top of a flag pole for as long as possible, marathon dances that went on until everybody had dropped and wing flying when you stood strapped onto the wing of a flying plane until it landed.
What type of instruments do they use, and how did it sound like? • The instruments they use are saxophones, trumpets, tribunes, piano, guitar, bass guitar, drummer, and of course they have a singer. (Harsha, Aaron, Paragraph 5) • The jazz people played music to according how they feel. Where did the Jazz Age start? Jazz Age basically came from African Americans and marching band players. They mixed their music together and it became Jazz. The Jazz Age started in Chicago. "New Orleans Musicians moved from the country site south to Chicago."(2000, Paragraph 2)
