Edline Resource Purpose • The purpose of the Edline instructional resource is to provide step-by-step instructions for parents to use Edline.
Edline Objectives • By creating an Edline account, each parent will be able to view his/her student’s grades from any on-line computer. • Once activated, parents will be able to check the account(s) each week to keep track of his/her student’s progress.
Edline Activation Process • Make sure you have your personal Edline Activation Code(s). **If you have more than one child, you will have more than one activation code. • Go to www.edline.net and click on ‘Click here if you have a new activation code’ ***Click here to see an example of where to begin.
Edline Activation Process Cont. • Fill in your Activation Code. You will get one parent code per child. If you have several parent codes because you have more than one secondary student, enter each parent code one after the other. Then, you will be able to view all your children’s information from the same login account. Click “Activate This Code” once you have entered all codes. ***Click here to see examples of how to continue.

Edline Activation Process Cont. • Follow the remaining steps to create your Edline Screen Name and Password. When asked if you already have an account, click “New Account” if this is your first time using Edline. If you already have an Edline account, click “Combine Accounts” to add this child to your existing account. ***Click here to see example of how to continue.

Type in information for Screen Name and Password and then type personal information. Click continue when finished.
Edline Activation Process Cont. • After you have created your account with user name and password, you will see a screen to manage your account. This will allow you to have e-mails sent directly to your e-mail account when Edline is updated with your child’s grades. You will also choose a security question and answer in case you forget your user name and password. ***Click here to see example of how to continue.
Type e-mail address and click boxes as needed. Also, type security question and answer.
Edline Activation Process Cont. • On the last account activation page, print the “Student/Parent Quick-Start Guide” so you can make the most of Edline. After this, you no longer need your Activation Code- you will always use your Screen Name and Password to access Edline. • Don’t share your Edline Screen Name and Password information with anyone unless you want them to be able to access information about your student’s grades. ***Click here to see example of how to continue.

Edline Activation Process Cont. • You will know that your activation code has been used and your account is successfully set up when you see the following screen on your computer: ***Click here to see screen.
