SCASC Card Targets • 500,000 using the card for bus travel by May 2005 • 63,000 school pupils and staff using the card • 230,000 using the card to access leisure services • 155,000 using the card for library membership

SCASC Achievements • c1000,000 cards issued (Sept 2004) • Shared momentum & motivation • Application working groups • 10 authorities using common card structure • Partnering Young Scot & adoption of PASS mark • Two successful reference group meetings • Major transport project initiated • Joint procurements • Migration & Convergence framework being developed • Sustainable business case constructed • Tangible & Intangible benefits being realised

The Future Who knows what the future may bring. Or alternatively – “Is there life after cashless catering?”
SCASC Consultant’s Recommendations • Move forward using the 3 current models • Encourage “clustering” with the objective of convergence over time • Include transport applications to encourage take up • Stronger governance and programme management • Encourage the Scottish Executive’s role • Explore charging citizen’s for cards
