  2. Walk the perimeter The majority of the time all of the clearance items are moved to endcaps facing the exterior walls of the building. They will be marked with a large clearance sign at the top. For whatever reason their clearance signs are no longer red, they are now yellow

  3. Look down the aisles Any items that are on clearance in the aisles will have a clearance label where the price usually is.

  4. Check the sticker The upper righthand corner shows how much the item is discounted.

  5. The markdown schedule Markdowns follow a schedule: 15%, 30%, 50% and then 70% (Holiday and seasonal items can go to 90%)

  6. Is it worth the wait? If you see the item at only 15% and there are just a few of them buy it, store it, and keep the receipt. If the price drops lower you can return the one you bought and buy a new one. (Target will not just give you a refund for the one you bought.)

  7. If there are tons of them Grab the UPC number of the item and watch it online at BrickSeek, an inventory and price checker. It can take 2-3 weeks for items to drop to the next level. BrickSeek will save you lots of time . https://brickseek.com/target-inventory-checker/

  8. Verify the price Sometime BrickSeek gets the price wrong. It will be on sale in BrickSeek but not at the store, or the store has not gotten around to updating the sticker yet.

  9. Ask an associate When items go on super clearance the price checker often doesn’t work. Additionally, the associate can give you tips on what else might be on sale they have not stickered yet or even a heads up on good deals they have spotted.
