  4. Cantaba Cantabas cantaba Cantábamos Cantabais cantaban Cantar “to sing”

  5. Por ejemplo • Yo cantaba profesionalmente en la universidad • I used to sing professionally in college.

  6. - ía - ías - ía - íamos - íais - ían Imperfect –er & -ir Verbs

  7. Comía Comías comía Comíamos Comíais comían Comer “to eat”

  8. Salía Salías salía Salíamos Salíais salían Salir “to leave”

  9. ¡recuerden! • That the imperfect is use to describe actions that were in progress without pointing out the beginning or the end of the action. • Por ejemplo I was eating potatoes. • I used to live in the woods, but now I live in this cage. • Yo vivía en los árboles, pero ahora vivo en esta jaula.
