  2. What is the imperfect tense? • You’ve already used the preterite tense to talk about the past. The preterite is used to talk about completed actions in the past • Ayer vi una película muy buena • Yesterday I watched a good movie • To talk about what you used to do or what you were like in the past, use the imperfect. It may also be used to tell how old you were and what time it was. • Yo tenia muchos juguetes • I used to have a lot of toys • Escribiamos cartas largas en la clase de ingles • We used to write long letters
