He had his head covered and went barefoot. And all the people who were with him covered their heads and went up, weeping as they went up.
QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 25:6-8 WHY DID MOSES PUT A VEIL OVER HIS FACE? WHAT VEIL DID CHRIST REMOVE? READ: 2 CORINTHIANS 3:12-18 12 Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech 13 Unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away. 14 But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains un-lifted in the reading of the Old Testament, Because the veil is taken away in Christ. 15 Even today, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. 16 Nevertheless When one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 The Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 We all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 25:6-8 7 And He will destroy on this mountainThe surface of the covering cast over all people, And the veil that is spread over all nations. WHY WERE THE GENTILES WALKING IN DARKNESS? READ: EPHESIANS 4:17-19 17 This I say and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 Having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19 Who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 25:6-8 WHAT HAPPENED TO ISRAEL? HOW DID THIS BRING SALVATION TO THE GENTILES? READ: ROMANS 11:7-12 7 What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded. 8 Just as it is written: God has given them a spirit of stupor, Eyes that they should not see And ears that they should not hear, To this very day. 9 And David says: “Let their table become a snare and a trap, A stumbling block and a recompense to them.” 10 “Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see, And bow down their back always.” 11 I say then, “have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles.” 12 “If their fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness!”

READ: GENESIS 2:16-17 16 The LORD God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;” 17 “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 25:6-8 7 And He will destroy on this mountainThe surface of the covering cast over all people, And the veil that is spread over all nations. 8 He will swallow up death forever, And the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces; The rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; For the LORD has spoken. WHY WILL THE LORD SWALLOW UP DEATH? WHAT HAPPENED IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN? READ: GENESIS 3:22-24 22 The LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever” 23 Therefore the LORD God sent him out of the garden of Edento till the ground from which he was taken. 24 So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

HOW DID THE LORD CONQUER DEATH? WHY? READ: HOSEA 13:14 14 I will ransom them from the power of the grave. I will redeem them from death. O Death, I will be your plagues! O Grave, I will be your destruction! Pity is hidden from My eyes.
HOW DID THE LORD CONQUER DEATH? WHY? READ: 1 CORINTHIANS 15:50-58 50 This I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So When this corruptible has put on incorruption and this mortal has put on immortality, Then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory? 56 The sting of death is sin and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 25:6-8 8 He will swallow up death forever, And the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces; The rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; For the LORD has spoken. HOW DID THE LORD CONQUER DEATH? WHY? READ: HEBREWS 2:5-9 5 He has not put the world to come, of which we speak, in subjection to angels. 6 But one testified in a certain place, saying: What is man that You are mindful of him, Or the son of man that You take care of him? 7 You have made him a little lower than the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor, And set him over the works of Your hands. 8 You have put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we do not yet see all things put under him. 9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.
WHY? READ: 2 TIMOTHY 1:8-12 8 Do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, 9 Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, 10 But has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, 11 To which I was appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. 12 For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.

WHAT WAS THE REBUKE OF HIS PEOPLE? READ: 1 PETER 4:12-16 12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13 But rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. 14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people's matters. 16 Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.
QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 25:6-8 8 He will swallow up death forever, And the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces; The rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; For the LORD has spoken. WHAT WAS THE REBUKE OF HIS PEOPLE? READ: REVELATION 7:13-17 13 One of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?” 14 He said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” 15 “Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.” 16 “They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat;” 17 “For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
WHY? READ: REVELATION 20:11-15 11 I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. God Himself will be with them and be their God.” 4 “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
