Project Simulation at Lancaster From Classroom based to Real activity, from Thought exercise to Practical “doing” Purpose: • Practice in developing a plan – and then running the plan – does the plan work? • Practice at developing plans different types of project • Integrative application – techniques/people/strategy/finance/complexity Examples: • Paper aeroplanes • Make a video • Negotiation • Case study examination • Applied project management • Dissertation Projects Difficulties: • Is it a project or a technical task? Is it big enough? • Is sufficient data available? • How to support learning? • Can tutors support what happens?
