Literacies in schools then with typewriters • Typewriters were used to communicate thoughts onto a typed piece of paper. This is very similar to how we use computers today. Typewriters used an ink on each letter to make an impression onto a piece of paper. Literacies in schools then with floppy disks • Floppy disks were used for storage. They were square in shape and could be used to store information (i.e. homework assignments) and bring them to school. Literacies in schools now with apps • Technological devices such as tablets and smartphones allow users to downloade many different apps. These apps can aid in education.
