Goals for today’s meeting • Review data analysis performed on students taking the Sentence Skills and Reading Comprehension tests • Review Accuplacer Program Manual’s proficiency statements for Sentence Skills and Reading Comprehension • Set Cut-Score for the new Reading Comprehension component of the English placement test • Adjust Cut-Score for the Sentence Skills component of the English placement test is necessary Subtitle here

  3. # of Students Subtitle here • 1,189 students took the English Placement Test (Sentence Skills) between January 2011 and December 2011 • 778 placed into English C100 • 305 placed into English C099 • 77 placed into English C098 • 29 placed into English C097

  4. # of Students Subtitle here • 1,189 students took the English Placement Test (Sentence Skills) between January 2011 and December 2011 • 778 placed into English C100 – 146 enrolled • 305 placed into English C099 – 58 enrolled • 77 placed into English C098 – 14 enrolled • 29 placed into English C097 – 2 enrolled

English C100 results Subtitle here • 110 out of 146 received a passing Grade (A,B,C) = 75% • This group’s success rate is equal to the success rate of all Coastline students taking English C100 = 75% • Among students with a passing grade: SS = 103 RC = 93 • Both the SS and RC test scores range from 0 to 120 points
