  2. Why Education? • The children of Afghanistan are eager to educate themselves and have the same dream we do: A better future. • Through education, the students will grow into prominent leaders paving the way for their countries success.

  3. My Last Tour • Started by SMSgt. Rex Temple and his wife in June 2009 • A project to provide school supplies for the children of Afghanistan • Reached to over 17 States and over 15,000 pounds of school supplies donated!

  4. There’s a problem? • The decades of war and destruction have had a huge impact on the children of Afghanistan. • More than 90% of Afghan families are living in poverty and are unable to afford the basic supplies for school.

  5. Where are these supplies going? Just a typical Afghan school.

  6. This classroom has holes in the ceiling, dirt for a floor, and no desks, yet is one of the classrooms in a school that Will see nearly 1600 children on a regular basis.
