  2. Objectives of Finance Ministry • Clear and open communications on financial health of the church • Accountable • Understand fiduciary duty to members • Support all ministry areas • Assist in planning for future

  3. Duties of Finance Ministry • Count and deposit weekly contribution • Pay the bills • Make journal entries to document transactions • Prepare financial statements and present at monthly meetings • Prepare annual budget with input from deacons and elders • Plan for future

Members Involved • Tim Steele – Corporate Treasurer • Bob Burd and Bob Messer – sign checks, review financial reports, ask questions • Rosea Elliott – counts weekly contribution, inputs accounting entries into software, fills out checks, aggregates receipts/invoices • Nathan Bochmann – monitors bank accounts prepares financial stmts, present at monthly mtg • Junior Morgan – counts weekly contribution • Royce Hammitt – can sign checks in case Bob & Bob are gone

Contributions: -Thru 5/31/2012: Restricted contributions of $2,039 Operating contributions of $63,723.41 $65,762.41 / 22 wks = $2,989.20 -Budget for operating contributions was $3,100 per wk: $3,100 X 22 weeks = $68,200 - Negative Change in Net Assets of: $2,438 (65,762 – 68,200) Expenditures: - Thru 5/31/2012: Restricted expenditures of $2,039 Operating expenditures of $52,547 -Budget for operating expenditures was $3,100 per week: $68,200 (22 weeks X $3,100 per week) -Positive Change in Net Assets of: $13,414 (68,000 – 54,586) 2012 Mid-year Review

  10. What I Have Learned? • Totally invested in this walk with Jesus. • Jesus does not want a commitment that only expects blessings. He wants a person that considers what expectations he (Jesus) has for his followers.
