Our trip to Cannock Chase to find the Gruffalo. We were all very excited when we got to school Friday morning. We got onto the coach and set off for Cannock Chase. We set off on the trail to find the Gruffalo . Miss Stubbs read the book to us as we were going round.

  1. Our trip to Cannock Chaseto find the Gruffalo

  2. We were all very excited when we got to school Friday morning. We got onto the coach and set off for Cannock Chase.

  3. We set off on the trail to find the Gruffalo. Miss Stubbs read the book to us as we were going round.

  4. We had to look for clues to help us.

  5. We were very good at looking for clues. First we found the mouse.

  6. We went on a bit further then… …we found the fox.

  7. Our next animal was a bit harder to find!

  8. It was quite well hidden. It was an owl, up in a tree

  9. The next animal was… …a snake at the foot of a tree.

  10. We knew we were getting close to the Gruffalobecause here were our next clues!

  11. We found the Gruffalo!!

  12. Our teachers even did a bit of extreme reading with the Gruffalo!

  13. We went back to have our dinner and saw a butterfly on the way.

  14. Then we went on the playground which was great fun.

  15. We had a fantastic time on the Gruffalo trail. Here is some of the writing we did after our trip. Harry We went to the Gruffalotrip we went to the park we saw mouse fox owl snake and gruffalo. Maddie We went on a coach to Cannock Chase to see the Gruffalo. We went to the woods and we saw the Gruffalo. Then we went to have dinner. Then we went to the park and we went on the big swing and we went on the slides. Then we went on the coach again. Todd We went to Cannock chase then we saw the mouse then we saw the fox then we saw owl then we saw a snake then we saw the Gruffalo. Darcey We went on a gruffalo walk in the woods. We saw a fox stuck on the tree we saw the owl in the tree we saw the snake it was on the tree like the owl we found the gruffalo it was wooden. Then we went on the play ground we played on the slides. Then we went for dinner. Polly We went on a gruffalo trail. I was partnered with Esmee. We found a mouse fox owl snake then we found a gruffalo. I cuddled the gruffalogoodbye. We got back to the classroom at Birches Valley to have dinner. After we played in the playground. On the way back I fell asleep.
