Defining an issue The following is given problem: “Medium-sized software company has decided to introduce a specific dress code policy rules that all employers must agree with while they are at work in that company. Is this decision of the company correct?”
Introduction to an analysis • The company made poor decision because of the next three reasons: • Employees can be displeased with the work • Cost of the uniforms • Employees may refuse wearing uniform
Issue elaboration (1) • Employees can be displeased with the work • Reducing productivity • Increasing in the number of people who leaves the company • Choosing the uniform that is suitable for the most of the employees
Issue elaboration (2) • Cost of the uniforms • Calculate total costs • Deciding is spending money on other things is better option
Issue elaboration (3) • Employees may refuse wearing uniform • People feel comfortable in clothes they are wearing • Everyone has a right to wear what he or she want • How should we treat them?
Final conclusion A lot of reasons against can be found: • Employees can be displeased with the work • Cost of the uniforms • Employees may refuse wearing uniform • Introducing a specific dress code policy rules can have some benefits for the company, but possible consequences can be bigger.
