  3. IDAHO OVERVIEW • Poverty rate is about on par with the national average • The number people with disabilities is about average • Rural nature of the state and our infrastructure- roads, mountainous terrain, etc. create formable obstacles.

  4. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES • Establish a more formal system for receiving, sanitizing, performing minor repairs, and redistributing equipment • Sustainability • Referral network • Increase public awareness

  11. OTHER VENUES Medicaid • Helped with reaching out to DME providers • Develop a new billing code and fee schedule for reutilized equipment - CILs are in the process of becoming DME providers

AND THERE’S MORE! • Increased capacity among the CILs and other organizations • Increased awareness about equipment reutilization • Increase capacity among DME providers to support reutilization efforts • Commitment for funding from the Idaho Department of Education and IDVR for reutilization of computers for high school juniors and seniors and freshman and sophomores in higher education.
