  30. Coping with the weather Warm up before sports: susceptible to muscular injuries and possible dislocation in cold weather etc Be adequately clothed throughout the day Apply moisturiser on face and body Apply lip balm Drink lots of water Eat lots of fruits

  32. Health Matters • Common sicknesses: Vomit, diarrhoea, flu, sore throat etc • Medical services: (i) 二附中医务室 (EFZ Medic Centre) (ii) Nearby pharmacy (iii) 二炮总医院 (Nearest Hospital, one bus stop away)

  33. Health Matters: H1N1 • Before their departure from Singapore, all students are required to have the winter flu jab. • All preventive H1N1 measures that are implemented by Singapore schools will also be carried out at BSC.

  34. Health Matters: H1N1 • Er Fu Zhong, the Beijing school where BSC is located, also has stringent H1N1 preventive measures in place. These measures are similar to the standards in Singapore. • One of the Beijing's top hospital is within 'walking distance' from the school. All H1N1 infected or suspected case will be sent there for checking and treatment immediately.

IMPORTANT … Medication - Doctor’s letter : get regular medication - please note that this is an MOE regulation Dentist – strongly advised to get teeth checked and treated if necessary Vaccinations – different vaccinations needed for different durations of stay e.g. flu jab, Hep A and B - please consult family doctor
