Shark Pups. By: Aaliyah Dopson. Sharks are grown in eggs. Some sharks grow eggs inside the mom. Some shark lay eggs. The eggs are called cases. Sometimes they wash up on the beach. We call them mermaid purses. The pup’s mom leaves her eggs when she lays them.

  2. Sharks are grown in eggs.

  3. Some sharks grow eggs inside the mom. • Some shark lay eggs.

  4. The eggs are called cases. • Sometimes they wash up on the beach. We call them mermaid purses.

  5. The pup’s mom leaves her eggs when she lays them. • Sharks don’t take care of their babies.

  6. When the pups hatch they don’t look the same as their moms. Just like people don’t look the same when they’re born.

  7. I wonder if baby sharks are lonely without their moms. What do you think?
