  2. It’ s countdown to my birthday, It’ s on Wednesday next week. My present is in the hall But Mum and Dad won’ t let me peek. I’m going to have a party, So now I’ m making lists Of birthday food and birthday drinks And who will be my guests. I’ m inviting all my friends And all my family too. I’ve added up the numbers- And they come to twenty-two. Tonight I’ll write my cards. I hope they all can come. It’s countdown to my birthday And I know it will be FUN! Book p.50

  3. It is going to be Jane’s birthday. She is holding a party. She writes some invitations to her friends.   10. It was karen’s birthday but she was not happy. She was in hospitals with a broken leg. At breakfast time, karen’s mother came in. “ look at all these birthday cards from your friends!” she said. Karen smiled a little. At lunch-time, Karen’s grandmother came in. “ here are some flowers to cheer you up,” she said. “ Thank you, Grandma,” said karen with a big smile. At tea-tine, karen’s friends came to see her. They brought her a big birthday cake. “Happy Birthday, karen!” they sang. “ Thank you, everyone! This is the best birthday surprise I have ever had!” said Kern with a great big smile.
