  2. What will melt faster Butter or cream cheese?

  3. Hypothesis • We all think the butter will melt the fastest because it more fat and salt.

  4. Independent • We are going to melt two types of liquids.

  5. Dependent • We are measuring the time it takes both things to melt.

  6. ControlWe are controlling the tempeture setting on our hot plate.

  7. Materials • Butter • Cream cheese • Hot plate • Timer • Camera • iPad • Tongs • Pan

  8. Procedures • We put the cream cheese in the pan • The cream cheese melted • We put the butter in the pan and it melted really fast!

  9. Observations • The butter melted WAY faster than the cream cheese. • The butter released oils.

  10. Conclusion

Butter melts faster than cream cheese. • We saw the butter liquidizing mush before the cream cheese • The cream cheese took about 6 minutes to melt while the butter to 42 seconds. • The butter instantly melted the cream cheese didn't change at all. • The butter melted faster than the cream cheese because it had more oil, fat, and salt than the cream cheese.
