Things to remember: あげる Me to you You to others Someone to someone else くれる You to me Somebody to me Somebody to you
Something else to remember: The only situation in which you would use くれるwhen describing a transaction between two people other than yourself would be when the recipient is a member of your immediate family or a member of your inside group (close friend, for example) and that you may benefit in some way.
