Europese Volkstellingen Programma 2001 • Gentlemen’s agreement: Nederland doet mee! • 40 tabellen (output: kleine duizend A4’s!) : • 28 landelijk • 12 regionaal (COROP en gemeenten) • 8 wonen • 2 woon-werkverkeer • 30 overige tabellen (demografisch, sociaal-economisch) • Volkstelling belangrijk ‘statistisch cultuurgoed’! • Methoden, resultaten en analyses niet alleen Europees, maar ook nationaal en internationaal presenteren!

Virtuele VT-2001 in Nederland (2) • Registers geschikte bron voor VT • - kwalitatief goed • integraal • veel detail • koppelbaar (sofi-nummer) • krachtige PC’s kunnen megabestanden goed aan • Enquêtes (steekproef) • aanvullen ontbrekende variabelen in register • koppelbaar (geslacht, geboortedatum, adres) • Beroep, opleiding: Enquête BeroepsBevolking (EBB) • Woningen- en bewonerskenmerken: Woning Behoeften Onderzoek (WBO) • Arbeidsduur, werkgemeente: Enq. Werkgelegenheid en Lonen (EWL)

(niet de onderliggende bronnen)

EvaluatieVoor- en nadelen virtuele VT • Voordeel Virtuele tegenover traditionele VT: • Veel goedkoper: ± 3 mln Euro vs. ± 300 mln Euro • Enquêtedruk en Non-respons alleen enquête-variabelen • Nadeel Virtuele tegenover traditionele VT: • Publicatie enquêtevariabelen voor kleine subpopulaties problematisch (puntje) • Volgende VT 2011: - synthetisch schatten? • - oversampling steekproeven? • - nieuwe registers? • Niet-geregistreerde bevolking (illegalen e.d.) • CBS-schatting illegalen 2001: tussen 46 en 116 duizend
