What is it? Naviance is a secure web-based planning and advising system that helps students navigate through high school and understand their post high school options Each student has an account that their parent can access

NAVIANCE for college bound students • SuperMatch college search • Display scattergrams and application statistics from Radnor graduates • Display overall admissions data • Organize application deadlines • Register for college visits • Complete brag sheet/recommendation questionnaire • Request transcripts • Research scholarship opportunities
Students will receive course selection cards on Monday, January 31st During the week of January 31st students will receive recommendations from their teachers Course selection cards are due Friday, February 4th The deadline for all FINAL changes is July 1st Course Selection Timeline
Verification Process • February 7th until February 25th course requests will be inputted into HAC by staff • As necessary, counselors will meet with students/parents about courses • Course requests will be available on HAC during the spring • HAC represents the opportunity for families to verify the data entry and make any needed changes
Course Changes • Changes may be made up until July 1st • Core course changes require that an override form be completed (Core=English, social studies, math, science, and foreign language) • Elective changes do not require an override form
The Course Card • Be thoughtful about elective choices due to space availability • Students may choose up to 5 electives on the course card • Electives will not be assigned in order of priority
What your child should be doing now • Get involved with extra curricular activities • Seek out academic help when needed • Review your standardize testing calendar • Register into Naviance • Review 2011-2012 Program of Studies and think about classes for next year
