  1. My students analyze character dialogue and stage direction in Romeo and Juliet and use this template to create modern subtext for the play. It mimics the Facebook pages that many of my students have for themselves. It activates their prior knowledge of the tool itself and provides them with a real-world application with which to demonstrate their critical thinking ability. This task demonstrates how my students use technology as a tool in the classroom. They get excited by this project because it is familiar to them and they enjoy using the modern application with a centuries old text. Standards NETS*T: 1(a,b), 2(a,c), 3a; CCCT: IB2, IIA2, IIB2, IIA1; ECSU Proficiencies: 2.1,3.1, 3.3, 1 This benefits my students because it asks them to think critically and creatively.
