“An article on The Telegraph is reporting that an estimated two billion people in over 180 countries will be either watching on TV, or looking at reports and photos from the big event. There were over 8,500 journalists covering the event in London alone. Social networking site Facebook estimated that 2.8 million people in the UK and US had updated their status about the wedding before the service had even begun. While on Twitter users were posting 237 tweets every second about the service. Around 1,000 miles of bunting was sold for the wedding, with most of it used for the 5,000 street parties across the UK. The bride arrived in a Rolls Royce Phantom VI, which was first given to the queen for her silver jubilee in 1977.”
