  3. Example – Asset Management Plan • Annual School AMP – 9 Capital Schemes • Applefields,Millthorpe ,Carr,TangHall,BadgerHill,Stockton,PoppletonRoad • Extended Contractor base • Early discussions • £200k saving from a £1.4m budget

Public procurement regulations(a brief guide) • Spend on services or goods above a contract total of £174k must be advertised Europe-wide. • Speak to procurement about this! • Control, route and governance of a procurement exercise is directed by the total cost • Frameworks provide a quick and easy route around this • CYC frameworks (such as use of sub contractors) can be used. • Where available, we will make sure frameworks are accessible, visible and understood by you

Recommendations to deliver value • Follow CYC’s procurement regulations – available on website or from procurement team • Make use of frameworks – YPO • All schools should received best rates on YPO energy tariffs • Supply & demand management. It’s not all about what you buy. • You’ll save more money by switching off computers overnight than by switching tariffs etc
