What does he think? What do you think? • Where can Bill’s behavior often be found • What the term addiction meant in the past • What it is applied for now

  3. Scan the following info on pg 3: • 3 of the most significant statistics researchers found out about the use of the internet • Internet addiction physical symptoms • How psychologists responded • Changes in social behavior • Benefits of the internet • What needs to be done about its effects

ConversationTalk to a partner about the following issues and then share the info with the rest of the class: • How many hours a day do you spend on the internet? • What do you use it for? • Do you have any of the internet addiction-like symptoms described in the article? • Do you consider yourself an internet addict? • What do you sometimes avoid doing to spend time on the internet? • Do you view the internet more as benefitial or harmful?
