OAG STRATEGIC INTENT To facilitate accountability and governance by promoting transparent economic, efficient and effective management in respect of revenue, expenditure, assets and liabilities in the South African public sector. • Support: Empowering our clients to ensure transparency through accountability in the execution of their functions. • Expert Knowledge: Empowering team members to become the leading knowledge repository of best practice in risk management, internal audit and accounting and reporting across the South AfricanPublic Sector. • Enforcement: Enforcing compliance with all prescripts and the legislation.

Strengthening Strategic Alliance with Key Stakeholders • Provincial Treasuries Forum • PALAMA - Provide ongoing technical expertise • AG - Regular interactions and share technical expertise • DPME – MPAT assessment tool • IRMSA - Participation in Continuous Development initiatives • OAG CDs and Others - Liaising on key developments and initiatives – goal congruency

Systematic Review of Legislation Framework • Scanning the Risk Management environment for gaps (e.g. RM disclosure) • Strengthening oversight structures
OAG Mandate • Identify additional stakeholders in ERM – outside FM (REAL) framework ; • Continuous engagement with identified stakeholders • Align vision of RMS with OAG and NT vision
Optimising Use of Technology • Position paper to be finalized by August 2013 • Develop specification on ideal OAG RM software • Mapping of RM Calendar & Roadmap
