  2. iXVL Publisher Overview • iXVL Publisher publishes XVL files and HTML contents that can be viewed in iXVL Player.   3. Adding XVL Files to Publish Click the Add button to select XVL files to publish. Or drag and drop XVL files to iXVL Publisher GUI to add them to the list. Status of unpublished XVL files are shown as “Non-browsable”. Click the Delete button to delete XVL files from the list. To change the publishing options, click the Options button to open the Options dialog. 2 3 4 5 1 Lattice Technology, Inc.

  4. Setting Options • To allow the XVL file to be viewed in iXVL Player, select “Enable browsing”. When “Disable browsing” is selected, published XVL files cannot be viewed in iXVL Player. • Check on “Add snapshots” to add pre-defined snapshots to the published XVL files. • Check on “Publish work instructions” To publish interactive work instructions HTML document. This HTML document is viewed in iXVLPlayer. • When the input file is the XVL assembly files (*.xv0), you have an option of how to output. • Output assembly files: Files are output as XVL assembly file. • Output geometry files: The file is output as a single XVL file. • Specify how to output the XVL file. • Overwrite: Overwrite the XVL file. • Specify folder: XVL file is output to the specified folder. 1 2 3 4 5 Lattice Technology, Inc.

  5. Publishing XVL Files After setting the options, click the Execute button. When the XVL file published successfully, the Result will change to “OK”. When the XVL file is overwritten, Status will change to “Browsable”. 3 2 1 Lattice Technology, Inc.

  6. Viewing Published XVL Files • Published XVL files are viewed in iXVL Player. To learn how to copy published XVL files to iXVL Player, see iXVL Player Operation Manual. Lattice Technology, Inc.

Checking Published XVL Files • You can check if the XVL file is published to view in iXVL Player or not. 2 • Open the XVL file in XVL Player. • From the right click menu, select File > Properties to open the Properties dialog. • If the XVL file is published by iXVL Publisher, following strings are shown in the bottom of the dialog. • This file is viewable in iXVL Player. 1 3 Lattice Technology, Inc.

  8. Uploading Work Instructions Content • Published HTML contents can be viewed via a web server. <How to view published HTML contents> Place HTML pages on a web server. Use iXVL Player to view the main HTML page. When using a web browser to view the main HTML page, specify “ixvlplayer:” before the HTTP address: (ex. <a href = ixvlplayer:http://www.lattice3d.com/contents/TT-4000TailAssy_process.html>) NOTE: the “ixvlplayer:” prefix instructs the browser to call iXVL Player to open the URL.   9. Viewing Work Instructions Content Open iXVL Player on iPad and specify the URL of the HTML contents. (Or select URL link on a web browser.) The process list page opens in iXVL Player.
