  3. Discover • “homeroom” to start the day • Pass/fail grade determined by assignment notebook (8 points: 1pt per day, parent signature, two root words) • Curriculum is set for us: ISTEP prep, activity day, SSR

  4. Homework • School Town of Highland / Overview • Gordon, J. / Welcome Please check for daily homework assignments. As of now, we will be accepting late work. However, the work will be subjected to a percentage penalty.

Team Rules • Be prepared for class • Be respectful to yourself, classmates, and adults • Be in assigned seat when the bell rings • Follow school policies outlined in school handbook (i.e. dress code) • Books are to be covered • Assignment notebook is complete and with student at all times • Follow OLWEUS bullying rules and procedures

  6. Grades • Check grades online Gordon, J. / Welcome • Report cards are brought home by students except for the end of the year • Effort and conduct grades will be determined by each teacher

SRT ~ Student Resource Time • Every day, the last 30 minutes (approximately) • Assignment notebooks are looked over • Homework is started/finished • If extra help is needed, students will be given a pass to another teacher • Free Choice Friday ~ incentive program to reward positive behavior and good work habits. Will be implemented very soon
