  2. Electrically Discontinuous Sections • Jordan Aqueduct-Reach 4 / Alpine Aqueduct – Reach 3 Cathodic Protection System Project • Electrically discontinuous sections of AA-3 need to be repaired • Install Deep Well Anode Beds and apply induced current

General Work Sequence • External Bonding • Limited Surface Disturbance Excavation Methods • Divide and Locate Method for repairs • Discontinuous Section 688+85 to 697+97 • Discontinuous Section 681+72 to 699+54 • Excavation sites to be restored to pre-construction condition by end of contract (May 1, 2014)

General Work Sequence • Internal Bonding • AA-3 drained and access points opened by District O&M staff • SAFETY – Confined Space • Remove mortar lining, clean steel, install bonding straps, protective coating epoxy, replace mortar lining, and cleanup of construction debris • Continuity testing by CCT • District staff will close all access points • All work completed by April 1, 2014
