  6. Executive Board - Chairman • Organize and chair the Annual meeting (rotating • between East and West side LM facilities) • Serve as REAML’s representative on the LMMC Board TERM : 1 Year

Executive Board - President • Preside over Executive and General Membership Mtgs • Appoint all committees • Appoint members to fill officer vacancies • Become Chairman of the Board upon term completion • Summarize REALM status in “From the President” • column for the monthly newsletter TERM : 1 Year

  8. Executive Board – 1st Vice President • Act as President in his/her absence • Perform tasks assigned by the President or Executive • Committee • Becomes a candidate for President upon term completion TERM : 1 Year

  9. Executive Board – 2nd Vice President • Act as President in the absence of both President and 1st VP • Perform tasks assigned by the President or Executive • Committee • Becomes a candidate for 1st VP upon term completion TERM : 1 Year

  10. Executive Board - Secretary • Attend all Executive & General membership meetings • Take minutes at all meetings • Prepare & send minutes to officers and directors • Prepare necessary correspondence • Act as custodian of files • Perform all other duties pertaining to the office TERM : 1 Year

  11. Executive Board – Assistant Secretary • Act as Secretary in absence of the Secretary • Perform such tasks as may be assigned by the • Secretary, President or Executive Committee • Assist the Secretary with special projects TERM : 1 Year

Executive Board - Treasurer • Financial Reporting • Prepare monthly financial statements • File IRS Form 990-N annually • File annual reports with the state of Florida • Cash Management • Collect checks from mailbox • Forward new member info to membership database mgr • Disperse funds directly to providers or as reimbursements to members for REALM expenses • Prepare account reconciliations • Budgets : Prepare & present the following year’s annual budget for • approval at the Nov meeting • Audits : Maintain records adequate to support internal / external • audit requirements • Appoint other assistants as needed to insure continuity of experience and distribute workload TERM : 1 Year

  13. Executive Board – Assistant Treasurer • Jointly perform accounting & finance functions • with the Treasurer • Perform tasks assigned by the Treasurer, • President, or Executive Committee TERM : 1 Year

  14. Directors at Large (6) Global Tasks– All Directors : • Participate in all Executive Committee meetings • Vote on matters pertinent to the administration • of REALM • Submit annual budgetary requirements to the Treasurer TERM : 3 Years

Activities Director • Develop REALM’s Travel, and Monthly • programs to be offered to the membership • Solicit volunteers to sponsor and coordinate at • least one of the monthly lunch bunch activities • Provide newsletter input advertising program • availability and schedule • Solicit volunteers to fill coordinator vacancies • within this Director’s position • Request Board support in meeting task coordinator • needs and requirements

Communications Director • Communications liaison between REALM and • LM, and REALM and the local community • Assemble and publish REALM newsletter • Coordinate and publish annual REALM schedule • Solicit volunteers to fill coordinator vacancies • within this Director’s position • Request Board support in meeting task coordinator • needs and requirements

  17. Science & Education Director • Provide judges in support of local and regional • middle & high school science fair competitions • Provide engineering and technical personnel • support to the Orlando Science Center • Solicit volunteers to fill coordinator vacancies • within this Director’s position • Request Board support in meeting task coordinator • needs and requirements

  18. Recreation & Affinity Director • Maintain and expand the variety of recreational • activities available to the membership • Solicit group leaders to provide periodic newsletter • inputs summarizing activities of their group • Solicit volunteers to fill position vacancies • within this Director’s position • Request Board support in meeting task coordinator • needs and requirements

  19. Admin & Member Support Director • Send REALM membership package to new LM retirees • Distribute monthly newsletter to members • Maintain REALM website • Maintain current roster & membership database • Provide input regarding the care & concern of its members • Solicit volunteers to fill position vacancies • within this Director’s position • Request Board support in meeting task coordinator’s needs • and requirements

Technical Coordinator Tasks Photography: Take pictures of all lunch bunch attendees Assemble photos with captions using events in MS Publisher Send MS Publisher photo file to REALM newsletter coordinator Pictures are also formatted, resized, assembled and placed on the REALM website Website: Maintain and keep website current Need approx 20 hrs per month to maintain LM subsidizes annual website fees

Recreation & Admin Subtasks Roster & Membership Database: Receive membership applications from Treasurer Add membership info into REALM’s MS Access database Import database into LM mailing label software for label generation Deliver labels to newsletter distribution coordinator Scan database yearly and identify inactive members Ned approx 30 hrs per month
