What is REALM? Grundtvig Accompanying Measures project 12 month project commencing Nov 11- Oct 12 €169k budget Three key partners: Hampshire County Council, Assembly of European Regions & Brussels Education Services
Mission To connect the Europe 2020 Flagship Initiatives to adult learning in the regions primarily through a series of seminars to be held in Brussels during 2012.
Target Group Regional civil servants (fonctionnaires) responsible for implementing adult learning strategies in their region
Activities 4 seminars: (1) European Platform against poverty and the European Year 2012 of Active Ageing (2) Youth on the Move and New Skills and Jobs (3) Innovation Union and Digital Agenda for Europe (4) Resource Efficient Europe & an Industrial Policy for the Globalisation Era
Timetable (1) European Platform against poverty & the European Year 2012 of Active Ageing (28 February 2012) (2) Youth on the Move & New Skills and Jobs (10 May 2012) (3) Innovation Union & Digital Agenda for Europe (4 July 2012) (4) Resource Efficient Europe & an Industrial Policy for the Globalisation Era (during the 10th Open Days October 2012)
How? (i) What is the flagship policy? (ii) How does it affect adult education, what are its implications for the adult education world? (iii) What can regional civil servants do to implement this in their regional adult education institutions?

What can we offer? 15 paid travel places for 15 adult learning specialists to attend the 4 seminars in Brussels during 2012 (no staff time payment available) Opportunity to present/include your regional case study in the project Opportunity to become part of a developing European network going forward
