2012 Common Inspection Framework Criteria for judging teaching, learning and assessment “The most important purpose of teaching is to promote learning and improve outcomes for learners. A rigorous and informative assessment process is essential to successful learning, as is the support learners receive” (Inspection Handbook)
Strategic targets • All learners will have access to an individual eAssessment portfolio enabling online assignment submission and to receive electronic feedback, actions and progress tracking • Assessment dates will be individual to create a personalised schedule and allow for timely qualification completion for both the learner and the College • Work with awarding bodies to provide further flexible opportunities and modes of assessment • Bespoke ePortfolio for WBLs to maximise the opportunities provided by work-based assessment and prior learning and skills
So far…………… • Ascentisquals (online Moodle course) • Internet Safety 800 registrations • 395 learner achievements • Income of £32,732 (after deducting registration/exam fees) • Gradebook 1,024 learners have accessed versus 817 throughout 11/12 • Moodle 3,337 accessed averaging
