Desired Outcomes By the end of this meeting, the following outcomes will have been met: • Administrators will receive an overview of ESY 2015. • Administrators will hire highly qualified employees for all identified positions.
Program Information • July 6 – July 31 • Administrators Manual & Roles and Responsibilities • Students are present for three hours daily • Teachers and clerical staff are paid for 4 hours (30 minutes before and 30 minutes after) • Instructional Assistants are paid for 3.5 hours (15 minutes before and 15 minutes after) • Adult Assistants and nurses are paid for 3 hours (the time that the students are present). Exceptions will be addressed on an individual basis.

TIENET Home Page Announcements will be made in a panel on your home page.
Student Placement • Office of Special Education resource teachers assign students to sites. • Student assignments continue throughout ESY.
Accessing Student Information Students attending summer programs will be accessed using the panel located on your home page labeled ‘REPORTS.’ One link is for ESY students in self-contained classes. The other link is for all IEP/504 students in centralized classes.
Accessing Student Information Select the summer school location then change ACCESS VIA to summer school.
Accessing Student Information View your student roster and access student records using the FILE CABINET ICON and then the DOCUMENTS TAB.
Staff Report The report to indicate who has TIENET access will be on your home page by June 1. Use look up to find your school and select Update Report with Values.
Staff Access to TIENET • Non-TIENET administrative users will have an account available on May 15, 2015. Your password is your e-mail password. • By May 15, 2015, ESY/Centralized administrators will be able to access the records in TIENET. • By June 1, 2015, special education teachers will be able to view ESY records in TIENET. • At the conclusion of ESY, all non-TIENET users will be deactivated and TIENET users will only be able to view their home school information again.

Instructional Recommendations https://bcpsesy.pbworks.com • A Wiki has been created to provide easy access to ESY information. • Administrators and teachers will be provided access to the Wiki.
Additional Adult Assistants • AA positions have been allocated at one AA per classroom. • Once class lists are created by your OSE resource teacher, the resource teacher will contact you to discuss staffing recommendations.
