eID Applications Based on more than 130 applications
Kid’s ID Project What is it ? • A secure electronic identity document for younger Belgian people under the 12 years old • A travel document • Replacing the existent paper base document • Contain the unique phone number facility
Concept ‘unique phone number’(Hallo parents) • On each Kid’s ID you can found a unique phone number • 078/150350 (Emergency call’s like phone number 112 • Each Parents can if they want link that phone number with a specific phone numbers collection • When you call that unique number a cascading call’s is started using your initial phone collection numbers • When all the list is used without a connection then you are automatically linking to the emergency number of the local police
Kids ID Project Today … & Future • Pilot phase started in November 2006 with 6 Cities: Bornem, Houthalen, Koekelberg, Liège, Ostende, Ottignies-Louvain-La-Neuve • On 24 September 2007 : • 6421 kids-ID delivered • 6679 Kid’s ID Produced • Nearby Future : Preparative for the Rollout Phase
Foreigner Project • What is it ? • A secure electronic identity document for Foreigner authorized to live in Belgium • Replacing the existents paper base documents (Yellow, white & Blue old documents) • Conform EU Resident permit card
Foreigner Project Today … & Future • Pilot phase started on 18 December 2006 with 3 Cities: • Uccle, Tubize, Antwerp & Kelmis (September 2007, German facility municipality) • 19 February 2007 launch C-card (old yellow documents) • 30 July 2007 launch A & B-cards (old white documents) • 02 October 2007 launch E & F-cards (old blue documents) • On 6 October 2007 : • 3307 Foreigner-ID’s (A,B,C cards delivered) • 4392 Foreigner ID’s (A,B,C,E & F cards produced) • Nearby Future : • Preparative for the Rollout Phase • (Start normally end 2007 beginning 2008)
