  2. Thermostat A small device that maintain an desired temperature in the area or location

  3. Ambient Temperature The temperature of the surrounding environment or the temperature that’s currently in the air.

  4. Carbon Footprint An correct measurement of the amount of carbon dioxide produced by a person, organization or location during a current time.

  5. Rfactor • A measure of material’s that separate from heat and cold.

  6. Potential Energy • The energy of an object that possessed by its composition and position by its motion. • It is converted into Kinetic energy.

  7. Greenhouse Emission • A layer of gases that cause damage. Gases that also trap heat. • Example: Carbon Dioxide (Co2) Nitrous Oxide (N20)

  8. Joule • A device used to measure energy

  9. Weathering Stripping • A piece of material used to protect interior from extreme temperature • Ex: weather stripping on a door

  10. Insulation • A material used to prevent the conduction of heat or elec

  11. Wattage • An electrical power measured in watts

  12. Kinetic energy • An energy processed by an objects motion dependent on the velocity and mass

  13. Efficiency • The ratio of energy delivered by a machine to the energy required in operating the machine
