Causes • Striking workers – demanded better pay and less hours • Bloody Sunday – people lost faith and trust in the czar • People demanded a new constitution and reforms
Effects • October Manifesto – people are granted some civil rights • The Duma (elected national legislature) is created • Position of prime minister is created • Absolute monarchy to a limited monarchy • All revolutionary activities are crushed by the czar
