This tutorial will help you to search for articles in the JSTOR database. To begin, we’ll visit the library homepage.
Select the database title, “JSTOR,” from the list. JSTOR covers a large number of disciplines and is an archival database, meaning that it does not carry current editions of journals. • Clicking on the database title will take us to the general JSTOR search screen.
From the middle of the page, we’ll select the “Advanced Search” option.
Type your topic in the search box. • Uncheck the box labeled “Include links to external content.” Doing so ensures that we only receive articles that we have full access to. • Click the blue “Search” button. Make sure this box is unchecked.
Here on the results page, the sample search has retrieved 22 articles.
