  2. George Rickey • Born June 6, 1907 • Died July 17, 2002 at age 95 • Training at NYU Institute of Fine Arts I was snatched from South Bend at the age of six in 1913, and it was Notre Dame that brought me back. — George Rickey, July 4, 1996
