The story of EUA • Created in 2001 through a merger of CRE and the Confederation of EU Rectors Conferences • At the First Convention of European Higher Education Institutions in Salamanca in March 2001 • Parallel to the intergovernmental Sorbonne- Bologna - Process2001: EUA, a new Association • The need for a clear message • The need for a stronger voice

  16. EUA Budget • Total Budget : 3 Millions EUR • Including Programmes : 0,9M • Fees represent : 1,3 M • Salaries and social charges of Permanent staff : 1,4 M • Deficit 2001 : 0,120 M • Capital (beginning 2002): 0,360M
