  3. Cerebral Structures • Cerebral hemispheres – right and left side • Folds – convolutions • Deepest grooves – fissures • Shallow grooves – sulci • Longitudinal fissure – separates cerebrum into right and left hemispheres • Corpus callosum – connects hemispheres

  7. Cerebral Cortex Functions • Motor Areas • Controls voluntary movements • Right side controls left side of body • Has Broca’s area (speech)
