GIECP Year 2 Update Major Successes • Engagement from the Workforce System from program inception • Great partnership established with Workforce System and educators engaged in the program • Development of technical and craft pipeline for Carolinas utilities and utility partners • Greater awareness of energy careers among young adults in low-income areas of North Carolina and South Carolina • Improvements in continuing education programs resulting from more systematic feedback from employers • York Technical College Energy College – 6 attendees, 100% enrollment in energy/electrical related courses
