  3. Quotes: • “Are there more? Are there more?” • This quote tells us that Katniss really cares for Rue she asked if there are more offenders in the area. She doesn't want Rue to die because she cares for her. Also, it shows that she would take more than one life to save Rues life. • “You blew up the food?”, she whispers. • “every last bit”, I say • “you have to win”, she says • “ I’m going to win for both of us now,: I promise • This quote also tells us that she cares for Rue and that she will not break a promise, even though Rue will most likely die. She will avenge Rue and win the games for both of them, even if it will cost people their life Rues Death

  4. “The boy from district one dies before he can pull out the spear.” This is another point of her sounding strong and fast and unbeatable. It makes het sound like she is the strongest and fastest and no body can find her, or kill her. Killing of the boy from district 10

  5. “Sing”. She says, but I barely catch the word. This quote is to tell us that Rue is already quite close to Katniss, although they have only known each other for one or two days. This is also to create affection for Katniss and pity for Rue dying because we know that it is the last thing that she will hear.  Katniss singing to rue

  6. “my thanks to the people of district 11.” I say This is her being respectful bye acknowledging she knows where the bread came from and she is great full they decided to give it to her. Receiving the bread from district 11

  7. There has been a rule change in the games. A RULE CHANGE! That in itself is mind bending, since we don’t really have any rules to speak of except don’t step of your circle for sixty seconds and the unspoken rule about not eating one another. Under the new rule, both tributes from the same district will be declared winners if they are the last two alive. Claudius pauses, as if he knows were not getting it, and repeats the change again. Before I can stop myself, I call out peetas name. At this point in time she is absolutely shocked and realizes she wants peeta by her side The rule change
