  2. It Will Guide My Life (3:11) • Be God’s person • “Of what country”? • Hb. 11:13-16; 1 Pt. 2:11; Ph. 3:20 • Be God’s person all the time • The sum of this life • Holinesses and godlinesses - plural

  3. It Will Improve My Attitudes (3:12) • Looking for – expecting • Hasting – To desire earnestly • Not everyone desires that which they expect • The Day: Long to be with Jesus • Phil. 3; 2 Tim. 4 • A “home” destroyed – But it is all right because of the next verse…

  4. It Will Give Me A Goal (3:13) • We: With other Christians • Promise: I can believe it! • Look for: The goal is heaven • See Phil. 3:9-14 • Some things about this are not revealed – don’t worry about it • Wherein: The place is perfect!! • Dwelleth – always • Righteousness – see 1:1

  5. It Will Increase My Effort (3:14) • Let’s get this! (Wherefore) • Don’t stop looking • Resurrection • End of time • Judgment • Heaven • See His face

  6. It Will Increase My Effort (3:14) • Don’t stop living • Be diligent – see 1:10 • In peace – God, man, self • Without spot – 1 Pt. 1:19; Eph. 5:27 • Blameless – 1 Cor. 1:8; Ph. 1:10; 1 Th. 3:13; 5:23

  7. Conclusion • Let us remember out hope • Read these four verses again and again. • How will I (you) be “found” when He returns?
