  1. Suor Anna Chimenti Suor Anna Rosa Chimenti nacque a Partinico nel 1911, e sin dalla più tenere età si sentì attratta da una forte vocazione religiosa. Prese i primi voti nel 1943, e nel 1955 venne accontentato il suo desiderio: andare in missione in Eritrea. La sua prima missione fu a Keren, dove costruì una grande scuola per 300 bambini. Lasciata Keren all'età di 80 anni, andò ad Asmara per gestire un orfanotrofio di 100 bambini. Costituitasi a Partinico “l'Associazione Speranza”, essa si occupò di aiutare un villaggio Eritreo: Akrur, costruendovi un poliambulatorio con il lavoro dei volontari.

  2. Amò sempre i bambini e le loro famiglie, curando le adozioni a distanza. Con l'avanzare degli anni ebbe delle sofferenze che resero alquanto dolorosa la sua esistenza. Pregava ogni giorno così: “Voglio vedere il tuo volto, signore, sono pronta a cantare le tue lodi nella dimora eterna con tutti i Santi e le sorelle Figlie di S. Anna”. Suor Anna Chimenti morì nell’ultimo giorno del 2007, in Asmara.
